Tree Interpolation in Vampire
نویسندگان
چکیده
We describe new extensions of the Vampire theorem prover for computing tree interpolants. These extensions generalize Craig interpolation in Vampire, and can also be used to derive sequence interpolants. We evaluated our implementation on a large number of examples over the theory of linear integer arithmetic and integer-indexed arrays, with and without quantifiers. When compared to other methods, our experiments show that some examples could only be solved by our implementation.

First-Order Theorem Proving and Vampire
In this paper we give a short introduction in first-order theorem proving and the use of the theorem prover VAMPIRE. We discuss the superposition calculus and explain the key concepts of saturation and redundancy elimination, present saturation algorithms and preprocessing, and demonstrate how these concepts are implemented in VAMPIRE. Further, we also cover more recent topics and features of V...
متن کاملInterpolation and Symbol Elimination in Vampire
It has recently been shown that proofs in which some symbols are colored (e.g. local or split proofs and symbol-eliminating proofs) can be used for a number of applications, such as invariant generation and computing interpolants. This tool paper describes how such proofs and interpolant generation are implemented in the first-order theorem prover Vampire.
متن کاملVinter: A Vampire-Based Tool for Interpolation
This paper describes the Vinter tool for extracting interpolants from proofs and minimising such interpolants using various measures. Vinter takes an input problem written in either SMT-LIB or TPTP syntax, generates so called local proofs and then uses a technique of playing in the grey areas of proofs to find interpolants minimal with respect to various measures. Proofs are found using either ...
متن کاملFirst-Order Interpolation and Grey Areas of Proofs (Invited Talk)
Interpolation is an important technique in computer aided verification and static analysis of programs. In particular, interpolants extracted from so-called local proofs are used in invariant generation and bounded model checking. An interpolant extracted from such a proof is a boolean combination of formulas occurring in the proof. In this talk we first describe a technique of generating and o...
متن کاملExtending Proof Tree Preserving Interpolation to Sequences and Trees
We present ongoing work to extend proof tree preserving interpolation to inductive sequences and tree interpolants. We present an algorithm to compute tree interpolants inductively over a resolution proof. Correctness of the algorithm is justified by the concept of partial tree interpolants and the appropriate definition of a projection function for conjunctions of literals onto nodes of the tr...
